Is there a free trial membership for this site like the one you have for jazzpianolessons.com? I’d like to see some video clips, etc., before I make up my mind.

Thanks,
Lee Kweller

Willie 11.24.08 at 8:06 pm

Hi Lee, yes, I am working on a demo solution. Check back at the site in the next 1-2 weeks and I should have something ready.

David Morales 12.07.08 at 2:01 pm

Hi Willie I was wondering, if I become a member in funk piano lessons can I also have access to your other page jazz piano lessons?

Another thing, I live in Mexico and I don’t feel secure to buy this cool stuff on Internet, do you think I can buy your DVDs on a store?

Willie 12.23.08 at 7:37 am

Hi David, yes you can subscribe to all of my sites at once. Just click on the signup link above and choose Funk & JazzPianoLessons.com membership from the product drop-down list.

Francesco Crisafulli 12.25.08 at 1:36 pm

Hi Willie,

it seems very interesting to me.
Are there any other funky demo videos ?
I do not like penthatonic stuff like in
this video.

Thanks
Francesco

John 12.27.08 at 10:20 pm

Hey Willie
Do you have the free membership trial period for this site yet?

Willie 12.28.08 at 7:45 am

Hi Francesco and John,

I am working on a new demo site that will give you a couple of days free access. It should be done in early Jan.

george 12.28.08 at 12:05 pm

I can’t wait to see your demo version. Think i will subscribe if i can get lesson on both sites for same money!

John 12.29.08 at 3:56 pm

Thanks for the reply..will check back soon.

Enrique 01.02.09 at 5:37 am

Hello from Spain.

Just wondering if I´ll be able to understand the lessons since I only play by ear and have only some basic music knowledge.
ie: I know how to built most of the chords but I have no idfea what the pentagonic scale is.. o the blues scales…

best.

Willie 01.02.09 at 10:54 am

Hi Enrique,

You will definitely be able to understand. Since I break down all of the concepts and you can easily see the “virtual” keyboard, you WILL be able to understand and benefit from the lessons!

Mark Burg 01.04.09 at 11:55 pm

Hi Willie, I am very interested. I too would like to do a demo. I am not sure which course to sign up for. I am aspiring Keyboardist in a band and looking to get more funkier on both Clav and Hammond C3 I own. My music taste in artist are Soulive Galactic MMW the Meters etc…… will your course help me if I practice my ass off? Mark

Glimmer 01.12.09 at 2:50 pm

When will these lessons be available in a DVD set?

Willie 01.20.09 at 10:07 am

Hey Glimmer, the DVDs are now available. See the Funk DVDs and funk samples here.

Willie 01.20.09 at 10:09 am

Hey Mark,

Yes, my lessons will definitely help. I’d suggest the membership because then you get access to all of the new videos that I come out with (as long as your membership is active).

Signup for a funk piano lessons membership here.

A demo is only about 1 week away.

Mike 02.02.09 at 2:03 am

Hi Willie,

Is there a 2-days trial membership to look around “funkpianolessons” like what you offer at “jazzpianolessons” website? Please let me know where to sign up.

Thanks,
-M

Eli 03.20.09 at 6:14 am

HI Willie,

I have not seen a response on David Morales’s question
If one become a member in funk piano lessons will this allow them also to have access to your other jazz piano lessons?

This I guess would make it really interesting for a lot of people

Cheers

Willie 03.20.09 at 11:26 am

Hi Eli,

You have the option to subscribe just to FunkPianoLessons.com or subscribe to Funk AND JazzPianoLessons.com. I will soon have a “Gold” membership which will give you access to ALL of my sites.

Eli 03.20.09 at 10:53 pm

Thanks Willie

I was wondering, since the DVD list from the download area is dynamically being updated, How do people get their updates if they have chosen to purchase your dvds?

Marcus 04.03.09 at 3:07 pm

Hi Willie,

After reveiwing many other sites that teach you
jazz cords and more, I find your site to be the
most informative. I have a quesiton for you.
Does your material also teach students to read
music and cords or do you just teach what the
cord is? In high school I use to read piano
music well but, I gave it up years ago.
I’m definately going to buy the membership.

Thanks,

Marcus.

Willie 04.03.09 at 3:11 pm

Hey Marcus,

I do have music for many of the DVDs, but knowing how to read music is NOT required. I break down the concepts slowly so the music is only there as an added resource.

Thanks!

Nathan 05.05.09 at 11:30 am

Hey Willie,
I’m trying to decide between your jazz website and funk website lessons. I noticed the free trial on the jazz - is there one for the Funk?

Willie 05.05.09 at 11:40 am

Nathan, the free trial gives you access to both sites

David Bondaruk 05.07.09 at 12:30 pm

I sorry, I have one question do you know partiturs of jazz or blue etc ? thank you bye bye

Don Whitt 05.15.09 at 11:51 am

Hello, I am a music minister in a baptist church
I have a classical background. However, I am tired of the same old chords and hymns. It is very traditional church. I have been a pianist for years. I was only able to learn Bach so to speak. I took an intro to jazz theory this semester…just for fun. I only learned briefly about the ii v7 1 chords.
Thanks for your time.

Rafal 06.16.09 at 4:00 pm

Hi, I have a small problem… I can’t buy one month subscription. When i fill all the gaps given and try to clic to continue, nothing happens. Please help, I am reely intrested in the lessons. I am from Poland and tred on many various browswers and dont know what the problem might be.
regards
Rafal

Christian 08.14.09 at 6:29 pm

Hi. I browsed around your website and could not find any other method to contact you. Thing is: Im a professional pianist/teacher from Germany who recently got a job offer to produce several funk/fusion songs as a demo for a drummer. Now I am searching for ressources which help me learn some stuff about funk music, since Im more into Blues, Jazz and Boogie Woogie music. My special interst now lies in rhythmical and formal issues of funk music. You are mentioning a fine thing in your welcome video: As a member, could I get any tips from you looking over my personal compositions?
Thanks in advance and best regards,
Christian

Mischa 01.07.10 at 8:20 pm

Willie,

Site looks great. How do I go about getting the trail membership to view some of the videos, etc?

Mischa

Jay 01.23.10 at 3:34 am
